Dental Treatment

Specialist oral surgery and Wisdom tooth removal at Perfect 32.

Wisdom teeth are a common cause of pain and problems for patients; Unfortunately they are often challenging teeth for general dentists to remove. Perfect 32 offers a referral service with our specialist and consultant oral surgeon for wisdom tooth (third molar) removal. We are happy to serve as a specialist referral centre for other dental practice across Hull and East Yorkshire to assist with wisdom tooth removal and and other specialist oral surgery referrals.

We’re happy to advise our appointments are usually available within a week or two, meaning a minimal waiting time to be seen, and that the treatments are more affordable than you would find in a private hospital.

Due to the difficulty in finding a specialist, we would be delighted to assist with referrals from practices further out, such as in Goole, York, Scarborough, Leeds, Scunthorpe and Grimsby.

What’s involved?

For wisdom teeth, or other difficult extractions, a consultation with our specialist is required first. We will listen to your all concerns, check your medical history and comprehensively examine your mouth. For many extractions, we will need to take a small x-ray to tell us more about your tooth. For wisdom teeth extraction, we also may need to take a panoramic x-ray (a type of x-ray that rotates around the patient’s head, and shows us more about the tooth position in your jaw in 2D) or a CBCT scan (a type of 3D x-ray, that can shows us your teeth and jaws in 3D).  After the examination and further investigations, we can then advise you the treatment options that are appropriate.

After the consultation, we will schedule treatment on another visit, so you have enough time to think about your options carefully and decide what is best for you. Treatment is done under local anaethestic – this numbs the gums and teeth and makes the procedure as comfortable as possible. Our appointments are usually on an evening or a weekend, meaning you don’t need to take valuable time off work. Most patients feel well enough to return to work the next day.

Affordable specialist care.

In order to increase accessibility for our patients, we have endeavoured to keep our costs as low as possible. Currently, Spire Hull and East Riding offer Wisdom tooth removal ‘from £2,045’ (as of January 2022). Our price is significantly more affordable at nearly a quarter of the price. We are able to facilitate evening and weekend appointments, with minimal waiting list times, in our new, state of the art clinics.
